As part of his job with the CBC, Ted frequently travelled to Europe and was able to build a remarkable knowledge of the sights of the countries and cities in Europe, together with the must-visit restaurants and confectionery stores. In 2010 he and his wife Eva invited us to join they on a trip to Germany-Czech-Austria and ending with seeing the performance of the passion play at Oberammergau, Germany.
It was on this trip that we discovered how much Ted really loved ice-cream, needless to say that we (Allen & Ted) stopped at every ice-cream parlour, just to compare.
