Innovating Sound Technology

by Wendy Donaldson

Here is an ancient record album, likely from the late 70’s. We were in the Orpheus Choir conducted by Lloyd Bradshaw. David Fallis was singing tenor with Andrew in the choir. We were asked to help with the mechanics of getting the album made. I remember we listened to the “tapes” and helped decide on an order.

We didn’t know Ed then…but this is the very first instance that our names all appeared together on a project. The fine print on the back says, “This recording is the first to be produced in Canada using the Ambisonic system.” Not surprised that even then Ed was at the forefront of innovations in sound technology.
